Poster for Dj's Epron EP Machinerio.

Finally worked on something for myself. I started this piece about a year ago with just the dead/exploding planet. Picked it up from there and ran with it. I used a combination of stock from NASA, 3D elements made in Cinema4D as well as some homemade lighting effects. Hope you guys like.

Sidenote: I definitely feel happy with it but know I could&#39;ve done much better with some of the lightning on the "breakoff" asteroids if I had a Wacom...I miss my tablet :(

My attempt to render a decent Voldy caused quite a stir. The most important thing was that lessons were learned. This is my homage to a piece of/and one of my favorite illustrators that inspired me to do what I’m doing now. Sam Spratt, I send you vibes of my gratitude. You are out-of-this-world amazing.

REVERIE

Another one of my faves. I’ve had a lot of feedback about this and this is more like the 2.0 of the original that I have tweaked from some critiques that helped me realize some flaws. A lot have commented how much art worthy it is and how fitting and clever I entitled it; The real story behind it is not as colorful as it is… It is one of my experimental pieces for color blending and another attempt to blur the line between digital and traditional painting. The subject is a lady at the gym I go to, she is truly a beauty. I guess you can really tell how much beauty there is when you think she’s still pretty after running the treadmill for an hour. She’s not one of those’ wearing tights and leotards and still there’s something really sexy about her tomboy get-up. And the blonde hair and blue eyes have hypnotized yet again. I dreamed about her the day I made this piece hence I thought of a euphemism for the branding. I’ve always wanted to talk to her but it just feels weird doing so when were both doing sit-ups side by side and so I await for a sign, ‘if I ever get on the elevator alone, I might ask her out. (I’m just being silly)

This was originally printed in Alderac Entertainment CCG Phase Cards. Since then I modified it, foreshortened the figure and used it as a 1-page tutorial in Digital Artist Magazine about foreshortening. Notice the resemblance of the hero to a certain Musical Legend! I think he will break into a song..."Beat it...just beat it!"

My second pinup for Hustler Magazine. I wanted to paint a light-hearted, funny piece.

This is a tribute / collaboration to one of my favorite artists, if you havn´t recognized the creature by now, its a recent work from http://pascalblanche.deviantart.com -> http://goo.gl/TMjdI

I have to say I´m a fan of his great creature -designs for a good decade now! On facebook he posted some WIP pictures directly from within zbrush the other day, which presented the rough base for my creation, which I´d like to share with permission from Pascal.

With the coloring I went for another tribute to a master of 3d illustration, named Steven Stahlberg.

The inspiration for the idea was the eighties movie "the gods must be crazy" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080801/ where a traveling Bushman encounters modern civilization and its stranger aspects. I liked the idea of having a Shaman or Oracle worshiping modern products as something magic, which is similar to how children perceive our technological environments.

This should also make us think about how dull we are to our everyday technology and appreciate our achievements a little more.
