Been out of the loop for a while... we had a baby and this image took me forever to finish. This was my entry for AP 51. I started by messing with the coloring and this headline news story from WW1 evolved from it. I used lots of layers, photo stock, drawing (on paper) and painting (in Photoshop) for this. Drawing on paper, scanned, used filters, channels, textures and painted in Photoshop. This was for the AP 52 competition. This was a submission for the AP50 competition. I think I may have taken the beach hut image to the extreme but it was a lot of fun after I got going. Photo manipulation, drawing and using layers. This guy is really starting to get angry. Some folks asked to see this upside down so I thought I'd post a second version of this. This started with some doodles in my sketchbook and went from there. I wanted to make a composition that had no top or bottom. Obviously the circular layout lends itself to that but I like that you can literally spin the image around and the composition holds. This was another doodle that I turned into poster art. Children's book character I came up with. Started with colored pencil on paper, scanned it in, used layers, filters and textures in P-Shop.
