This was a fun personal piece that I worked on recently. I wanted to combine ordinary photo elements and objects together in order to make something extraordinary, and a little funky. The piece is called As a designer finishing up my last year of school I've been trying to do some side projects working with branding and illustration. I wanted to make a series of advertisements that really matched the look of the brand. I wanted to create something that was unique and eye-catching, but would also reflect the quality and personality that Starbucks has been made famous for. I wanted this piece to represent someone who has been wounded. A person who has had so much taken from them only to say fine, take it all away. This piece is all based on a creative visualization. Kind of an artist meditation session. Everything in here pertains to a story of something I saw in my mind. But I think it's more fun to let you come up with your own story. I wanted to think of this as a beautiful sacrifice, surrendering yourself for some greater good. So I wanted the subject to look peaceful in her moment of selflessness.
