A piece of artwork I recently created to capture the rush of slam dunking in b-ball. I used a wider range of colours than usual to really bring the player out, while muting the background colour, giving an almost 3D feel to the image. This piece was created for a sci-fi book cover which was unfortunately canceled - however the artwork remains a proud part of my portfolio. A mythical creature created a large vortex in a glacier filled canyon in one of the climatic scenes of the book... This piece was created to experiment with different lighting, colour blending and compositing techniques. I used a wide range of brushes and began to build the image up a layer at a time. I think the space-theme works well with the attractive model... A recent piece of artwork experimenting with composition and strongly contrasing lighting. A french burlesque styled theater performer. I worked on the original photo to give a theater-poster style look to the image. An interesting (and I think overall successful) blend between very vintage looking styles and very modern graphical effects.
